Shirley Red Lion Folk Club

If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy great music in a relaxed, friendly environment, with good company and, perhaps, a pint or two of excellent beer, the Shirley Red Lion Folk Club might just fit the bill.

The club meets on Thursday evenings in the Red Lion, Shirley. We open at 7.45 for an 8.00pm start. We had our first meeting in January 2010 and have had a very lively and successful first season. Check our dates page for dates of upcoming meetings.

We pride ourselves on our warm and relaxed atmosphere with great music. Most meetings are performer’s nights usually with two songs for each performer, sometimes more. We also have occasional guest nights where top quality acts perform at the club.

Come along and listen or, if you play or sing, all performers are welcome. We are very relaxed about musical styles. Traditional and contemporary folk, blues and country music all feature regularly. Come along and give us a try –you will be assured of a warm welcome.

Admission is £2 for performer's nights and £5 for guest nights. Reduced admission to guest nights applies to members.
